Pueblito de Monte Cuchuma is a planned hamelet for the staff of the Rancho la Puerta Fitness Spa as well as other locals in Tecati, Mexico. The houses were designed for passive solar heating and natural cooling. They incorporate cisterns for rainwater collection, gardens and citrus orchards. The plan preserved the rock outcroppings and much of the native vegetation. The master plan and conceptual house designs were produced in collaboration with designer Elizabeth McDermott (website.) The plan has not been implemented.
